You could actually list related events on an event page itself, to encourage people to check out similar events elsewhere. For example:

[ecs-list-events cat="my-category" exclude_id="current"]

This will show events in the given category, and exclude the current event from that listing. There’s more filtering options available, and even a video on how to find the category “slug” or identifier:
